Some say Saltburn-by-the-sea.
I can’t make my mind up. People rave about Saltburn. Sure it has plenty of shops, cafes and pubs. Parking is free on Marine Parade. where there are wonderful views from there down to the sea, though there are also pay and display car parks as well. It has a cliff railway currently being repaired but no date given for return to service. There is also a tremendous park, The Italian Gardens, well worth the vertical cliff to explore. At the bottom there is a miniature railway.
So lots to do and see, and it never seems to be too crowded except for the queue to come up the cliff railway when it was working.
